Welcome to my comics edited page. I have taken comics for years and edited them for amusement and as a depiction of "life". Here are just a few of the latest. I hope you enjoy them. Perhaps you can also save, edit, and send some comics to your family and friends. James is my Grandson, I am Grandpa Ed, Grandma is my wife Sandy, and the young woman is my daughter Staci (James's Mom) -- we all live in Wichita, Kansas.

Pickles (The Comic)
by Brian Crain (An Interview)

The car pictured below is a Studebaker. My first car was also a 1950 Studebaker. It was black and had four doors. I bought the car from my father's used car lot and it cost me $50. The car didn't last long since it was just about worn out in 1961 and I had just gotten my drivers license. During my years in High School (1961-1963), I was one of my father's best used car customers. He would let me pay-out the cars since I was prone to want a newer car ever month or so and I was working two jobs after school and on weekends.
Among the 14 cars I had in High School were: 1959 Corvette Convertible, 1961 Austin Healey 3000 MK 3000 Roadster. The Austin Healey was the car I drove to college at the University of North Texas in 1964. It was a great car and lasted me until I took myself and 2 friends to the Galveston, Texas Spring Break Beach Party. Driving the car on the beach and racing it on the interstate caused the transmission to malfunction and thus I traded it off for a 1964 Plymouth which I drove for eight years until it conked out with over 150,000 miles.

Here
is a Real Life "Comical Situation"

You may ask:
" What Is So Comical About Using A Weed Eater?"
Well the answer is: 17 years ago, I said that I would never do ANY yard work.
This is evidenced by 17 years of managed yard care in Texas by the owners of a
historical home in Denton, a duplex in Denton, and a duplex in Cleburne. When Sandy and I
moved to Wichita, my daughter and son-in-law had a "lawn-boy" take care of the
yard work since we did not have ANY yard maintaintence equipment.
So, how did I get a weed eater in my hands? My daughter brought over their riding lawn mower, weed eater, and a blower. This created the opportunity to clean out the "garden area" next to the fence. I had previously purchased some tomato, bell pepper, and okra plants while working in the Dillions Garden Center. As you can read, I could see the "hand-writing on the wall" -- I was destined to not only do yard work but also to "plant a garden".
So, the "comical aspect" of the picture is:
Don't Ever Say Never. This is also Biblically Scriptural for Proverbs 16:9 states, "You may make your plans, but God directs the outcome" so it is best to: Proverbs 3:5-6 " Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths".
